Together with our partners, we calculate, fabricate and install pipes and special parts in steel core. The conception and use made of this pipe go way back in time, as it is the most appropriate for pressure pipelines for waste water, raw water, drinking and sea water, etc. The fabrication method makes it easy to fabricate them on site in circumstances where the transport distances are very big.
They are made of a thin sheet of steel core which gives a perfect watertightness.
This steel core is coated inside with concrete which allow it to withstand full vacuum conditions (water-hammer, empty pipeline, sudden emptying...)and protect it from corrosion and abrasion.
The outside coat is made with reinforced concrete, enabling the surface to resist pressure, auto-ridging, bending strength (in case of span pipeline for example), backfill loads and live loads, longitudinal tensile strength (in case of a pipeline being pulled into place), longitudinal compressive strength (in case of installation by jacking or microtunnelling).
Its proven longevity is based on the protection of its metallic parts by passivating.
Arco TS has made pipes and special parts with a diameter ranging from 300 to 2500mm.
